THROUGH ANOTHER'S EYES – CHARACTER MEME

There are many, many character interview memes out there.  There are short ones, long ones, sexual ones, pretty much every question you could think of has been asked of your OC.  But have you ever thought about what other characters really think about your character?

That's the point of this meme.  Choose a character who is familiar with and interacts a lot with your character and answer the questions from their point of view.  Alternatively, your character could answer the questions about another deviant's OC whom they are familiar with.


INTRODUCE YOURSELF

01 – What's your name?
"Caleb Ferguson."

02 – Are you male or female?
"Male."

03 – What age are you?
"Thirty four."

04 – Describe yourself.
"I'm 6'6 and 230lbs of solid muscle, so I have a tendency to intimidate others. I have black hair, blue eyes and I'm Scottish."

05 – What do you do for a living?
"I'm a sailor. First-mate to Captain Nicholas."

06 – Choose five words that describe your personality
"Patient, adventurous, strong, stubborn and loyal."


INTRODUCE YOUR SUBJECT
07 – What is their name?
"Jeremiah Nicholas."

08 - How do you know them?
"Through work, originally. Thought Griz had gone mad when he first let the kid join up with us, but he's actually become pretty cool. The kid's like family now."

09 – Describe them in three sentences.
"He's a fucking crazy little shit that gets into too much trouble. He's also one of most loyal, kindest people I've ever met. He's too hard on himself."


PHYSICAL TRAITS
10 – Are they male or female?
"Male."

11 – How old are they?
"Twenty-three."

12 - Describe them
"He's 5'6 and a bit underweight. He has long, curly black hair that he usually ties into a loose ponytail, green eyes and tan skin."

13 – Do they have any distinguishing features; scars or tattoos?
"Yeah, he has quite a few of them. Most noticeable is a scar that goes diagonally across his chest. He also has other scars, but they're not as bad. He has a tattoo on the back of his neck, but it's not seen all that often."

14 – Are they fit; Athletic.  Do they do any sports?
"He's very fit. All the crew is. It's part of the job. He doesn't really do sports."

15 – What about Illnesses, War Wounds or Physical Disabilities?
"He's very susceptible to lung diseases and sometimes has issues breathing. He never quite recovered from his years in the factories. They fucked up his lungs pretty good."


SKILLS AND ABILITIES

16 - What would you say is their best ability?
"Sword-fighting. The kid was always a natural at it. When he actually focuses on what he's doing, no one can beat him."

17  - What do they think their best ability is?
"Sword-fighting. He has a pretty realistic appraisal of his own skills."

18 - What else are they good at?
"He's good at basically anything that has to do with fighting or physical activity in general. Also mimicking accents and learning languages. I think he knows like six languages."

19 - What are they not good at?
"Reading, writing, anything related to school at all. Can't play an instrument. Pretty much emotionally inept. Being careful."

20 - Do they have any artistic talent?
"Yeah, he's got some skill. Sketches all the time."

21 - What about Musical Ability?
"He can sing pretty good, but that's about the extent of it."

22 - Are they good at a particular sport?
"He doesn't really do sports..."

23 - What about combat; can they fight?
"Yeah, he's probably one of- if not- the best fighters on the ship."

24 - Do they have any... powers or abilities you would describe as supernatural or superhuman?
"Not really, but his sarcasm knows no bounds."


PERSONALITY  AND INTERESTS
25 - If you had to choose one word to describe their personality; what would it be?
"Avoidant."

26 - Can you expand on that?
"Pretty much exactly what it sounds like. The kid doesn't like conflict. If it's not something that can be physically taken care of, he will do everything he can to avoid it. Whether it be a painful memory, an emotional conversation or anything of the sort, the kid will try to run from it in any way he can."

27 - What do you like best about them?
"He may have a lot of faults, but if he's your friend he will always be there for you."

28 - What personality trait or behaviour particularly gets on your nerves?
"He's too reckless and impulsive. Almost never thinks anything through before he does it."

29 -  Are they sociable; do they mix well with others?
"He's a social butterfly to the point where it can be difficult to get anything done. We'll stop by a shop to pick up some things and then suddenly he's having an hour long conversation with the store owner or another customer. In every. Fucking. Store. 'Jeremiah found a friend' has become code for 'this is going to take a few hours'. Ugh."

30 - Do they dress well?  Are they Fashionable?
"He dresses pretty plainly. Almost always wears one of Griz's old coats. It's like a security blanket for him."

31 - What would you say is important to them?
"Friends and loved ones are the most important to him. Specifically the crew. We ain't all perfect- fact, we're far from in most cases- but we're a family. Also important to him is the ship and his sword."

Do you know of any deep, dark secrets they keep buried?
"I know all of his deep, dark secrets. He tells me everything."

32 - Would you want them as an enemy; What sort of enemy would they make?
"No, I wouldn't want him as an enemy. He may be small, but he would make a formidable foe. Doesn't help that he also has friends literally all over the world that would all be willing to lend a hand for him."


YOUR RELATIONSHIP
33 - How did you first meet?
"Well, first time I saw him was when Smith caught him stealing from us. I think I kicked him a few times after he went down. First time we officially met was later in the evening. Griz took him around and introduced him to everyone. The kid was civil enough to me, but he looked like he wanted to rip Smith's lungs out through his throat and toss 'em overboard."

34 -  Are you friends?
"Best friends. He's like the kid brother I never had."

35 -  Are you rivals?
"No."

36 - Are you Lovers?
"I think I'm like, the only person that Jeremiah hasn't tried to sleep with, and thank God for that."

37 - Do you love them?
"Yes. He's practically family."

38 - Do they love you?
"Yes."

39 - Who, if anyone, do you think they are in love with?
"I think he's falling in love with Clara. He won't admit it though, not even to himself."
[Griz was a great man in many ways, but Jeremiah was like a second son to him and Griz was terrified of losing him like the first. It made him incredibly possessive. He knew that if Jeremiah found love, he would leave. To prevent that from happening, he drilled it into the kids' head over and over again that getting attached to people and falling in love are both a worthless waste of time. Love and attachment brings nothing but heartache and misery. Have all the fun you want, but always be the first to leave. Now, Jeremiah's beliefs about love are so skewed he doesn't even know what he thinks anymore and he can't identify it.]

<40 - Are they currently in a relationship?
"He's currently in several relationships. Under ten though, which is an improvement."

41 - Do you like them?
"Of course."

42 - Do they like you?
"Yes."

43 – How do you think they feel about children?
"Half-pint absolutely loves children and he's great with them. He doesn't want any of his own though because the idea of actually being a father scares him."

44 - What about their family?
"He loved his mum dearly and would've done anything for her. His aunt he has some familial affection for, but she gets under his skin a lot. He's really angry and resentful towards his dad right now but I think, given a little time, he could warm up to him."

45 – And finally.  If you could change one thing about them, what would it be?
"I'd try to make him see his own self-worth. He doesn't like himself a lot."
